39.000 PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON

An ordinance to regulate parking of motor vehicles on Main Street in the business section of the City of Reading and to regulate the use and control of motor vehicles on said streets and to repeal all other ordinances and sections of ordinances in conflict herewith.

THE CITY OF READING ORDAINS:

39.001 Parking regulations, 2:00 a.m.--6:00 a.m.

Sec. 1. Hereafter it shall be unlawful to park a motor vehicle for longer than fifteen (15) minutes at any one time from two (2:00) a.m. to six (6:00) a.m. each day on that portion of Main Street in the City of Reading commencing at a point on Main Street one hundred (100) feet North of the North line of the intersection on Main and Michigan Streets in the City of Reading and extending on both sides of Main Street South to the North line of Cherry Street where the same intersects Main Street; and also that portion of Michigan Street commencing at the West end thereof and extending on both sides thereof to a point where said Michigan Street is intersected by the West line of Chestnut Street.

39.002 Penalty.

Sec. 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon a finding of responsibility, pay a fine of not more than Fifty ($50) Dollars, together with costs at the discretion of the Court.

39.003 Effective date.

Sec. 3. This ordinance shall become effective twenty (20) days after its passage.
