An ordinance to regulate the burial of dead animals within the city limits.

THE CITY OF READING ORDAINS THAT:

62.001 Compliance with regulations.

Sec. 1. No person shall bury any dead animal or part thereof upon his property, or upon any other property within the City, except as provided in Section 2.

62.002 Regulations.

Sec. 2. Each dead animal shall be securely covered and removed within six (6) hours after its death by its owner, or by the person in whose possession, or upon whose premises it is, or if it is in a public place, by the chief of police, and buried at least two (2) feet beneath the surface of the ground.

Effective date. This Ordinance to take effect 10 days after adoption by the City Council.
