An ordinance to repeal Part 81 of the City of Reading
Compilation of Ordinances and to provide a new ordinance to
establish tap rates and regulate water service in the City of
Reading.
THE CITY OF READING ORDAINS:
81.001 Tap rates.
Sec. 1. The following shall be the tap rates to be charged
for connection to the water system of the City of Reading:
A. For each 3/4 inch water tap, water tap rates shall be
$500.00 or the sum of the costs for time and materials
necessary to install the tap, whichever is greater.
B. For each one (1) inch tap or larger water tap rates
shall be $ 750.00 or the sum of the costs for time and
materials necessary to install the tap, whichever is
greater.
81.002 Commencement of service.
Sec. 2. No water service shall commence to any premises
connected to the Reading City water system until all fee, tap
rates or charges due or required under this ordinance are paid in
full.
81.003 Repeal.
Sec. 3. All ordinances, resolutions or orders or parts thereof, in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, are to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
